Guten Abend Meine Liebe Geschwistern!!!
Haha sorry for the German, but I am in a German-Speaking Mission!! This week has been a crazy one for a couple of reasons haha So Sister Crake is going home, and I am getting a new companion, Sister Zarse!! She is German and really sweet 🙂 i am really looking forward to our working together in Burgdorf! This week, we had a Relief Society/youth activity and the theme was missionary work! We were supposed to give some tips and tricks to being a missionary. Well, one of the tips was knowing your purpose as a missionary so that you can always share with others what you are doing so far away from home for 12-24 months. We challenged every youth to memorize it and then whoever first comes up to us on Sunday with it memorized will receive a chocolate bar! Well, it came to Sunday and we had our chocolate bar, but no one was coming up to us! We totally thought that we were going to have to eat the chocolate ourselves! Then about 20 mins after church let out, a youth ran up to us and stopped us and then recited it word for word! We were so excited and thought that it was just the coolest thing ever! I have seen so much of a difference in my missionary work as I come to really keep my missionary purpose close to my heart. When we have it engraved in our hearts, then we have it engraved in our lives! We tell the members all the time that they are missionaries just like us and that they have a wonderful message to share and a beautiful Plan to tell people about! This missionary purpose is not just our purpose for our mission, but it is also the purpose for the rest of our lives as members in the church!
So this week, we went to an investigator’s house. His name is Thomas. So we got to his place a little bit before our joint teach, and so we were waiting for her.. Well… We were waiting at a park, and you know what you do at parks? That’s right haha we totally went down the slide and used the swing!! The best fun in like 2 mins xD oh and when we were walking to his place, we saw this big cow and so we took a picture with it, cause life goals haha and you’ll never believe what was behind the cow…. A huge carton of MILK!!!! I can send a picture haha it was hilarious!! So the lesson was pretty good! We taught about the Priesthood, which was awesome! He also spoke Swiss German like 3/4 of the time haha I am so grateful for joint teaches!!!!! But it was really good! He is coming to a baptism that we have in like 2 weeks and he is going to watch general conference 🙂 yay!!
So we have seen Rita a lot this week haha I don’t remember if I told you, but she is in love with me and I am a bear xD anyways, so she gave me like a total of 5 record disks this week!! So before my mission (cough cough) I was drooling over this one record player in Target (cough cough) and now I (cough) have records (cough) to play on one (cough cough) haha xD jk you don’t need to get me anything 🙂 when I return from my mission, I will work really hard and save up money and buy one 🙂 haha but yea, I have loads of stories about Rita haha and I would tell you them all right now, but then I wouldn’t be going home with any stories haha don’t worry, I have pictures and videos as well xD
Anyways, I love you guys and I hope you enjoyed the splash of this week 🙂 be safe. Eat well. Exercise. Be awesome. Ok, love you tons!! Tschüß!
Always and Forever,
